These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the OakPlayer application and the oakplayer.com website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
OakPlayer is a media player application. It allows you to add your own third-party media playlists (Xtream Codes or M3U) and play them back through a unified interface. OakPlayer does not supply, host, or license any media content itself.
2. Acceptable use
- You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes.
- You are solely responsible for any playlists, sources, or streams you add to the app (or submit through the website, see Section 4 below), and for ensuring you have the right to access and use that content.
- You agree not to use the Service to infringe any third party’s intellectual property or other legal rights.
3. Third-party content and no liability
As set out in our Disclaimer, OakPlayer does not provide, sell, host, distribute, or control any third-party channels, movies, series, or streams. We are not responsible for the availability, legality, quality, or content of any source you add, and we accept no liability arising from your use of third-party sources through the Service.
4. Website playlist submissions
The oakplayer.com website offers an optional form (on the Add Playlist page) through which you may submit your Device ID and playlist connection details (Xtream Codes or M3U) so that our team can configure the playlist on your behalf, as a convenience in place of entering it yourself in the app. By submitting this form, you confirm that you have the right to use the submitted playlist source, and you authorise us to enter those details into your OakPlayer account for that limited purpose. Submitted credentials are handled as described in our Privacy Policy, including encryption at rest and admin-only access. Using this form is entirely optional — you can always add a playlist yourself directly in the app instead.
5. Premium subscriptions
OakPlayer Premium is currently offered on a Monthly (£10/month) or Yearly (£60/year) basis. Premium is not sold through an automated in-app store or payment processor: it is arranged manually by contacting us on WhatsApp, confirming payment with our team, and having Premium activated against your device by our staff for the corresponding fixed period (30 days for Monthly, 365 days for Yearly). There is no automatic recurring charge; renewal is a separate manual step you choose to take before or after your current period ends.
Because this is a manually-arranged service rather than an automated recurring billing subscription, we do not currently operate a formal, published refund or cancellation policy. If you wish to cancel, stop a renewal, or ask about a refund, please contact us via WhatsApp and we will address your request directly and reasonably on a case-by-case basis.
6. Eligibility
You must be able to form a legally binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a minor, you are responsible for that use.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OakPlayer and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to issues with third-party content sources, playback interruptions, playlists submitted via the website form, or account/device disputes with third-party providers.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Governing law
[Governing jurisdiction to be specified]
